YouTuber Completes Flat-Earther’s $100,000 Challenge, Refusal to Pay Ensues

Australian YouTuber Wolfie6020 is on a mission to debunk the absurd notion of a flat Earth. With the power of factual information, he attracts those who believe in the strangest things.

Recently, Wolfie6020 was challenged by fellow YouTuber Flat Out Hero. The challenge was to prove that you can fly from point A to point B to point C, and then back to point A, with each leg of the journey being the same distance and taking a 90-degree turn at every point. The stakes were high, with $100,000 on the line.

“It’s impossible, but don’t tell the globetards that! This is the final blow to the ball Earth theory, and I’m proud to be the one delivering it!!!” Flat Out Hero exclaimed in his boisterous comment.

On a flat plane, it’s impossible to draw such a shape because an equilateral triangle, as described by the flat-Earther, cannot have angles larger or smaller than 60 degrees. However, on the surface of a sphere, this shape is perfectly feasible.

With nothing to lose and $100,000 to gain, Wolfie6020 accepted the challenge and shared his flight plan in a video that has now been viewed over 5.7 million times. The flight path takes him from the Galapagos to the Gulf of Guinea in Africa, then all the way to the North Pole, and back down to the Galapagos. Each leg of the journey is approximately 10,000 kilometers (6,215 miles), or about one-quarter of the equator’s length.

In the video, Wolfie6020 listed the conditions of the bet set by Flat Out Hero and confidently concluded, “Mr. Flat Out Hero, your challenge has been met. The requirements, as you stated them, have been fulfilled! Now it’s your turn to honor your challenge and pay me the $100,000. I plan to donate half of it to the Westmead Children’s Hospital and use the other half as prize money for future contests on this channel. So let’s see if you’re a man of your word and will honor your challenge!”

Flat Out Hero responded to the video by complaining about the use of a digital chart instead of an old-fashioned paper flight chart. Wolfie6020 then demonstrated that the result would be the same, prompting Flat Out Hero to reluctantly accept that the route had indeed been plotted but claiming that it wasn’t flyable.

Commenters called out the flat-Earther for shifting the goalposts and questioned whether he actually had the money to pay up. The lesson here is clear: don’t make a bet if you lack both the facts and the funds.
