Welcome to our website! If you believe the Earth is flat, then you’ve come to the wrong place. Seriously, why are you here? Shouldn’t you be exploring the icy mountainous rim around the edges, bravely peering underneath to see what lies on the other side of this galactic space Frisbee?
Interestingly enough, you won’t find any flat Earth believers on Elon Musk’s Twitter profile either – but hey, it’s 2017, where logic is as relevant as witchcraft.
Musk, the man known for his cosmic ventures, giant batteries, and his knack for pun-filled tweet threads, recently pondered why there isn’t a Flat Mars Society. After all, we have a Flat Earth Society, whose members are just as peculiar as you’d expect. Is Earth the only flat planet?
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we have a massive spoiler for you. The official Twitter account of the Flat Earth Society responded to Musk’s tweet, stating that Mars, unlike Earth, is definitely round.
“Hi Elon, thanks for the question. Unlike the Earth, Mars has been observed to be round. We hope you have a fantastic day!”
Well, that settles it. By “round,” we assume they mean spherical, but who knows, really – round objects can be flat too.
To make things even stranger, when a skeptical social media user shared a gif of the Earth spinning on its axis, the Flat Earth Society account responded with an obscure Star Wars reference.
“No! Alderaan is peaceful, we have no weapons. You can’t possibly –” it reads. Are they suggesting that our supposedly flat Earth is about to be destroyed by the Death Star? Or perhaps they’re implying that the photographs of Earth we see every day are simply fabrications. Either way, it’s all incredibly bizarre.
